With so many economic issues affecting individuals and businesses, Landlords of commercial and industrial properties need and appreciate their tenants more than ever.

This is a great market timing opportunity to downsize, expand, or relocate as well as lock in favorable long term lease rates. For most building owners, renovations and other desired improvements are often a worthy trade off versus vacancy. Fresh paint, carpet and other simple decorating items like artwork and furniture can give your business a renewed and successful image to your customers and employees.

Larger improvement projects can include new signage, interior office build outs, electrical upgrades, and landscaping are all generally reasonable investments that many Landlords will consider in return for lease extensions from existing tenants and new tenants as well.

Be prepared to prove your solvency and company’s strength to ride out these tougher times and you will be in a better position going forward.
